Sistral owns the ultrasonic control unit that allows to evaluate the homogeneity and structural integrity of concrete. The propagation time of vibration pulses is measured to derive the apparent propagation velocity. By comparing the propagation speed, it is possible to evaluate the homogeneity and detect any cracks, voids, areas of degraded material, foreign bodies or non-imogeneities of the elastic parameters.
